Kazakh National Medical University (KazNMU) is among the leading medical universities in Kazakhstan, established in 1930 in the rural area of Almaty, a city with a population ranging from 1,000,000 to 5,000,000. Due to its outstanding academic performance, the university was designated as a national university by the Kazakhstan government in 2001.
Recognized by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, KazNMU aims to set a benchmark for a competitive and innovation-focused institution, providing high-quality medical education to students worldwide. Student Life
KazNMU’s residence hall accommodates 2,198 students in shared living arrangements. The hall features standard furnished rooms for 2, 3, and 4 students, equipped with all necessary amenities for comfortable living. Students have access to various facilities, including computer rooms, a canteen, a gym, kitchens, a laundry room, a library, reading rooms, a TV and DVD room, and study rooms on each floor with Wi-Fi internet access. The sports complex offers a range of activities, including basketball, taekwondo, wushu, sambo, judo, volleyball, and wrestling.
Kazakh National Medical University boasts numerous student organizations, including a Committee on Youth Affairs, a Debate Club, a KVN Team, a University Student Government, a Student Union Committee called Demeu, a sector for students’ scientific research and a council of young scientists, a Volunteer Club, an Intellectual Club, a Student Ombudsman, and a University Patrol for students.
