Geomedi Medical University is one of Georgia’s leading medical institutions, founded in 1998 by Dr. Marina Pirtskhalava. The university prioritizes the quality of education for its students, who come from various countries, including Bangladesh, China, India, and Nepal, to pursue their MBBS degrees.
GMU collaborates with prominent universities worldwide, encouraging students to engage in various activities such as student exchange programs and professional training. Learning extends beyond the classroom, with students gaining hands-on experience through clinical research, practical training programs, and more.
The university is registered with the Georgian National Educational Accreditation Centre (now the National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement) and is recognized by the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG), the Foundation for Advancement of International Medical Education and Research (FAIMER), the Medical Council of India (MCI), the World Health Organization (WHO), and the World Federation for Medical Education (WFME).
