David Tvildiani Medical University has been operating since the 1992-93 academic year, specializing in higher education, particularly in medicine. It is officially recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI) and is listed with the World Directory of Medical Schools (WDOMS).

The university provides high-quality higher education and a premier international experience in the medical field, emphasizing ongoing improvement in teaching, learning, research, and management quality. Its modern infrastructure fosters a healthy environment conducive to learning, development, and active student participation.

Currently, the university has produced 476 graduates and enrolls 884 students, both Georgian and international, pursuing diplomas in medicine, medical and e-PD diplomas, and doctoral programs. Approximately 271 staff members support academic, administrative, teaching, and research activities. The university consists of seven departments, with five combining to offer 39 disciplines across 74 courses, aimed at training students in scientific research and clinical skills.

Additionally, students receive free coaching for the USMLE screening test, and David Tvildiani Medical University provides opportunities for necessary university financing alongside free training courses.
