  1. Faculty of Medicine: The Faculty of Medicine at BIU is the cornerstone of the university’s medical programs. The MBBS program is structured over 5 years, providing a blend of pre-clinical and clinical education. During the first two years, students focus on basic medical sciences, such as anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, and pathology, before progressing to the clinical phase, where they gain hands-on experience in diagnosis, patient care, and clinical rotations.
  2. MBBS Program: The MBBS program covers a range of subjects including medical ethics, pharmacology, microbiology, surgery, pediatrics, obstetrics, gynecology, and more. The clinical phase provides students with exposure to real-world medical environments through placements at affiliated hospitals, clinics, and healthcare facilities in Barbados and overseas.
  3. Faculty of Health Sciences: In addition to medicine, BIU offers programs in other healthcare-related fields, including nursing, pharmacy, and public health. These programs complement the MBBS curriculum and provide students with the opportunity to collaborate and build interdisciplinary skills in healthcare.
